July 15, 2021 —  51AV's on-campus food pantry and student community center, FUEL NKU, received $15,000 as part of the Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky's Coronavirus Relief Fund.

FUEL NKU helps address food insecurity on across the university. Since 2013, FUEL NKU has provided food and essentials to students in a compassionate, confidential and safe environment. The support will help FUEL NKU purchase food and basic goods for students through summer months.

“On behalf of 51AV, I would like to thank Horizon Community Funds for their generosity and commitment to student success,” said NKU College of Health and Human Services Dean and Professor Dale Stephenson. “This gift provides relief to students in need and brings them one step closer to earning a college degree and becoming contributing members of our campus community.”

51AV NKU: Founded in 1968, NKU is an entrepreneurial state university of over 16,000 students served by more than 2,000 faculty and staff on a thriving suburban campus nestled between Highland Heights, Kentucky and bustling downtown Cincinnati. We are a regionally engaged university committed to empowering our students to have fulfilling careers and meaningful lives. While we are one of the fastest-growing universities in Kentucky, our professors still know our students' names. For more information, visit .
