NKU’s Center for Simulation Education uses technology and thoughtfully designed spaces to create a safe learning environment where students can practice real-life healthcare situations.  The center features eight inpatient simulation rooms including an operating room, and a multi-bed critical care room.  In addition, the center has a simulated home health environment and eight outpatient examination rooms.  The simulation spaces, as described below, allow for exploration and learner-centered education.

AHA Training
AHA Authorized Training Site Logo

All AHA courses offered by the 51AV Center for Simulation Education utilize a hybrid learning model. Upon registration, learners will be provided with instructions on how to obtain a key code for an online module through the American Heart Association. Learners will also attend a skills testing class where they will be assessed on technical and non-technical skills through objective feedback devices. Skills testing classes are offered at the 51AV Center for Simulation Education.
